Delete your account
Deleting your account permanently removes your login and your own business, with its jobs, documents and files.
Before you delete
- Keep what you need. Download your PDFs and export your contacts, invoices and payments first. See Export your data. Nothing can be recovered afterwards.
- Paying through Google Play? Google Play bills you, and the subscription keeps renewing after the account is gone. Cancel it in your Google Play subscriptions first. The delete section has a Manage Subscription button for this.
- Subscribed on the website? Your subscription is cancelled straight away when you delete, and you won’t be charged again.
- Owner of a business with other people in it? Hand the business over or close it first, in Settings › Team.
Delete it
- Tap You, then your name, to open Account and profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE in the box.
- If you log in with a password, type it too.
- Tap Delete account.
The login screen then says Your account has been deleted., and you get an email to confirm it.
Log in with Google only? There’s no password to type, so you must have logged in within the last 15 minutes. If it’s been longer, log out and back in, then try again.
What happens to shared work
- A business you run on your own is deleted with your account, along with its plan.
- If you work for other businesses, you leave them, but they keep the work you did for them.
- Online links to estimates and invoices you sent stop working.
Good to know
- You need a connection to delete your account.
- Can’t sign in? You can ask us to delete it instead. Our account deletion page explains how, and lists what is deleted and what is kept.
