Rooms wider than the roll and joins
When a room is wider than the widest roll of its product, the app flags it and helps you decide where the join goes.
Sort it out
- On the room card, look for Wider than every roll and tap Fix.
- The sheet shows the roll and the room side by side and how much too wide the room is.
- Pick one of the options below.
- Add a join (recommended): opens the room editor so you can split the room into pieces that each fit the roll. You choose where the seam goes.
- Use a cutting plan: add the room to an existing plan for the same product, or start a New cutting plan on the narrowest roll that holds it. The plan adds the join and lays the pieces on the roll.
- Ignore the warning: order on the roll anyway. The extra width won’t be covered.
Joins in the room editor
- Open the room and tap Edit on the bar at the bottom.
- Under Joins, tap Add split. Move it left or right until each piece fits.
- Save the room.
The room card then lists its Pieces: Main is the room’s own piece, and each join (Join A, Join B) is a strip cut separately and seamed onto it. Each piece can have its own roll width; Auto uses the narrowest roll it fits.
Good to know
- If a cutting plan is narrower than one of its rooms, the plan joins the room to fit when you open it and tells you, for example “Lounge joined to fit the 4m roll”. Save the plan to keep the join.
- Changed your mind about ignoring? Open the room’s options again and choose Stop ignoring the warning.
