Customers and contacts

Customers live in Contacts. Link one to a job and their details go on its estimates, invoices and job sheet.

Link or change the customer on a job

  1. Open the job and go to Customer.
  2. If the job has no customer, tap Link contact. To swap the customer, tap ⋯ on the customer card, then Change contact.
  3. Search by name, phone or postcode and tap the contact. To add someone new, tap New contact.

To fix a phone number or address, tap ⋯ on the customer card, then Edit contact details. The contact is updated in Contacts, and the job picks up the new details.

Site address

If the work isn’t at the customer’s address, for example a rented flat or a second home, add a Site address on the job. It’s printed on the job sheet, and shown as “Site:” on estimates and invoices when it’s different from the customer’s address. Leave it empty when the job is at the customer’s address.

The Contacts page

Tap Contacts to see everyone: customers, fitters and anyone else you deal with.

  • New Contact adds a person or company. A contact needs a name or a company name; email, phone, mobile, address, notes and a photo are optional.
  • Use the search box, the filter (All Contacts, Fitters, Non-Fitters) and Sort to find someone.
  • Tap ⋯ on a contact for See their jobs (when they have jobs), Edit and Delete.
  • Turn on Mark as fitter to show someone in the people you can assign to bookings.
  • Export saves your contacts as a CSV file in the layout your accounts software expects.

Good to know

  • Each contact has Do not email, so booking emails are never sent to them, and Don’t send payment reminders.
  • If a linked contact is deleted, the job says so. Link another contact or make a new one.
  • If you delete a contact by mistake, tap Undo on the message straight away.
