Find your way around a job
Everything about a job is on one page: the customer, the rooms, the materials, the money and the files.
The status strip
At the top, the strip shows the job’s status, which step it’s on (for example Step 2 of 5) and what comes next, such as Next: take the deposit. If you can see payments, it also shows Total, Paid and Due. Tap the status to jump to where you change it.
The five parts
Under the strip, tap a word to jump to that part of the page:
- Customer: the job title and status, the customer and site address with its map, notes and bookings.
- Rooms: Rooms & measurements, the Floor plan and the subfloor assessment.
- Materials: products, cutting plans, underlay, gripper, profiles, smoothing compound and sheet underlayment.
- Money: labour, extras, the job’s summary and its payments.
- Files: job photos, other files, and keeping the job on your phone for offline use.
Fitters don’t see Money, so they have four parts.
The bar at the bottom
On a phone, the bar along the bottom of a job has:
- Documents: the job’s estimates, invoices, job sheets, plan PDFs, photos and files.
- Speak: measure by voice, when it’s available to you.
- Call and Directions: ring the customer, or open directions to the site in Google Maps. They show when the job has a phone number and an address.
- A big button for the next step: Send estimate, Take deposit, Book fitting, Mark done or Take payment.
On a tablet or computer there’s no bottom bar: the next-step button sits in the status strip, and Documents is at the top of the page.
Good to know
- The next-step button only shows what your role can do. If you can’t take payments, the strip says what the job is waiting for instead, for example Waiting for the deposit.
- Tap a section’s heading to fold it away. The app remembers which sections you folded.
