Measure a job by voice

Say each room’s sizes as you measure, check what the app heard, then add the rooms to the job.

Which plans? Pro includes a free 10-minute try. Pro Plus includes 5 hours a month, and Team 10 hours a month shared, plus 2 hours for each extra person. Only the time you’re talking counts.

Start recording

1. Open the job and tap Speak on the bar at the bottom, or Measure by voice under + Add room.
2. The first time, read the short guide and tap Allow microphone and start.
3. Tap Start recording and say the room, then its sizes: “Main bedroom, 2.50 long by 3.4 wide, underlay”.

While you record

• Next room when you move on.
• Pause when you stop to move furniture or talk to the customer. Paused time doesn’t use minutes.
• Undo last takes back the last thing you said.
• Note adds a typed note to the room.
• Say “scratch that” or “no, make that 3.40” to correct yourself.

No signal? The Android app keeps recording and sorts the rooms when you’re back online. In a web browser you need a connection.

Check and add

1. Tap Done – check what I heard.
2. Answer any questions on the cards. Tap ⇄ if length and width are the wrong way round.
3. Tap Add. Rooms already on the job are updated and keep their cutting plans.
4. Changed your mind? Tap Undo on the message that appears.

Privacy

The recording is turned into words and is not kept. Only the words are saved, with the job.
