Floor plans with more than one level
Each floor of a building can have its own level on the floor plan, with its own rooms placed on it.
A new floor plan starts with one level, Ground floor.
Add a level
- In the floor plan, tap the level name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Edit levels….
- Type a name such as “First floor” and tap Add level.
In the same list you can rename a level or delete it.
Build each level
- Tap the level name and choose the level you want to work on.
- Place its rooms from the Rooms panel as usual.
- Switch level to place the rooms on the next floor.
The Rooms panel shows the rooms placed on this level and the rooms not on any plan yet. A room placed on another level isn’t listed. If every room is already on another level, the panel tells you to switch level.
Good to know
- Deleting a level never deletes rooms. Rooms stay in the job, and anything placed on that level moves to another level.
- The floor plan PDF has one page for each level. See Make a floor plan PDF.
- Placing a profile works on the level you’re looking at. If the room isn’t on this level yet, the app tells you.
Who can do this? On the Team plan, someone with view-only access can switch levels to look, but can’t add, rename or delete them.
