Find your way round the cutting plan screen

The cutting plan shows the roll with every room on it, the roll length, the total area and the waste, with the tools on a bar at the bottom.

The bar at the bottom

• Room adds a room to the roll: choose a shape and enter its sizes.
• Arrange packs the pieces tight against each other and the roll edge.
• Undo and Redo step back and forward through your changes.
• View opens the Cutting plan preview or the Room key, which lists the code of every room. Tap a room in the key to find it on the roll.
• Options holds the roll width, planning style, room labels and extra material. See Cutting plan options.

Move or change a room

1. Tap a room on the roll. The bar shows its name and size.
2. Drag it to a new place. On a computer, the arrow keys nudge it (hold Shift for bigger steps).
3. Tap Edit to change its shape or joins, or Remove to take it off this roll. A removed room stays in the job with its product.
4. Tap Done to go back to the plan’s tools.

Turn rooms to save carpet

If some rooms would use less carpet running the other way on the roll, a line such as “Turning 2 rooms saves …” appears. Tap Turn rooms… to see each room and the saving, tick the ones you want and tap the turn button (for example Turn 2 rooms). The plan is arranged again; save it to keep the change. Room sizes stay the same. The app never turns a room by itself. Remember the pile runs the other way in a turned room, so check how it meets the next room at the doorway.

Save

• Tap Save at the top. A Saved message appears with Undo in case you change your mind.
• Leave with unsaved changes and the app asks whether to Save and leave or Continue without saving.
• Once saved, the job uses the plan’s roll length and width to price the carpet.

Who can do this? On the Team plan, someone with view-only access sees the plan and the View button, but not the tools that change it.
