Working with no signal
Keep working in a basement with no signal: everything you do is saved on the device and sent when you’re back online.
What works offline
- Jobs, rooms, cutting plans and floor plans: add, change and plan as normal.
- Measure by voice in the Android app: it keeps recording and sorts the rooms when you’re back online. In a web browser it needs a connection. See Measure a job by voice.
- Photos: they’re kept on the phone and upload later.
- Bookings, contacts and payments you record.
- Emails: they wait in your outbox and go as soon as you’re online.
- For installers: Mark done and the customer’s sign-off. They show Waiting for a connection until they’re sent.
What waits for a connection
- Estimate and invoice numbers. A document made offline shows Draft as its number. It gets its final number when the app is back online, and you send it then.
- The live map. A map you’ve seen before still shows as a saved picture.
- Jobs not on this device yet. Opening one shows Not on this device yet. It opens by itself once you’re online.
- Team changes, such as inviting people or leaving a business.
Before you go
Active jobs and recent ones are kept on the device by themselves. For any other job you’ll need with no signal:
- Open the job while you’re online.
- Turn on Keep offline. It then says Always kept on this device.
- Open the photos and PDFs you’ll want, so they’re saved on the device too.
Good to know
- While you’re offline, a small Offline sign shows at the top. Tap it for what’s waiting. See The sync status.
- A device that hasn’t reached WeavaWorx for 7 days asks you to connect before you carry on. Your work is safe and opens again as soon as it connects.
- Don’t log out while changes are waiting. See Logging out with changes waiting.
