Build a floor plan

The floor plan shows the job’s rooms the way they sit in the building, colored by product, with their sizes on every wall.

Place the rooms

1. Open the job and, at the top of Rooms, tap Floor plan.
2. The Rooms panel lists the job’s rooms. Tap a room marked Tap to place and it goes on the plan where it doesn’t overlap anything.
3. Or press and hold a room in the list and drag it to where you want it.
4. Drag rooms on the plan to fit them together. With Snap to walls on, a room jumps into line with nearby walls and corners as you drag.

There’s no save button. Every change is saved as you go and syncs with the rest of the job.

Change a placed room

Select a room to rename it, set its Rotation (°) or Lock position so it can’t be moved by accident. With snap on, the rotate handle turns in 15° steps. Use Edit room to change its shape; the change shows on the job page too.

Add or delete rooms

• Draw room lets you choose Add to floor plan and room section or Add to room section only.
• Delete room offers Remove from floor plan, which keeps the room in the job, or Delete room completely.

The legend

Room materials & colors lists each product on the plan with its color. Tap Show or Hide list to open or close it. Rooms with joins show dashed join lines, and the legend has a Join Splits row for them. Set a product’s color with Floor plan color on its card.

Other tools

• Tape measure: drag between two points, or tap one point then another, to read the distance.
• The grid shows squares to line rooms up by eye. You can change its spacing.
• Zoom to fit brings the whole plan into view. Undo and Redo are on the toolbar too.
