Room names and codes
Every room has a name and a short code. The code is used where the name doesn’t fit: the cutting plan, the floor plan and the job sheet.
Name a room
When you add a room, What room is this? opens with your room names in groups: Living, Bedrooms, Bathrooms and laundry, Hall and stairs, and Storage and outside.
- Tap a name, such as Living room (code LNG).
- Or type in Type a name or code. If it’s not in your list, tap Use to use what you typed.
- Or tap Skip to keep a numbered name and sort it out later.
To rename a room later, tap its name on the room card.
Codes
- A code is up to 5 letters or numbers.
- Each code is used once per job. If you add a second bedroom, the app numbers them, for example Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2.
- Some codes are kept for stairs, such as ST for straight stairs, W for winders and BN for bullnoses.
Change your list of names
- Go to Settings › Room names.
- Tap Add a name to add one, with its code and group. Tap a name to change it, move it up or down, or turn off Offer when naming rooms to hide it.
- Reset list goes back to the app’s names and codes.
Good to know: changing or deleting a name in your list doesn’t rename rooms you’ve already named.
