Roll widths, prices and pattern repeat

Carpet and vinyl sheet are ordered off the roll, so the roll width, the extra per cut and any pattern repeat all change what you order.

A room’s roll width

Each room card shows the roll it’s cut from. Tap it to choose:

• Auto: the narrowest roll of the product the room fits.
• One of the product’s widths. A width too narrow for the room says so.
• Net width: order only the room’s own width, with no offcut down the side.

The product card lists the Order sizes: each cut’s length, including the extra length per cut, by its roll width. Rooms on a cutting plan take the plan’s roll width instead.

A price for each roll width

1. On the carpet or roll flooring card, check the widths under Available widths.
2. Under Roll widths and prices, enter a price for any width that costs more or less.

This is optional. A width with no price of its own uses the main price. When a job uses more than one width, the card shows a line for each, for example “15′ roll: area × price = amount”.

Pattern repeat

For a patterned carpet, set Pattern repeat on the product. Each cut is rounded up to a whole number of repeats so the pattern lines up at the seams. For example, a 13’9″ cut on a 24″ repeat becomes 14’0″.

Cutting plans do the same for every piece, and the room key on the plan’s PDF shows the repeat.

Good to know

• If you change a product’s pattern repeat after a cutting plan was laid out, the plan needs updating. It’s arranged again when you open it; save it to update the price.
• If a room’s saved roll width is no longer one of the product’s widths, the room card tells you and offers the widths you can use.
