Using more than one device
Measure on your phone and finish the estimate on the computer: the same account works on up to 3 devices, and changes from each are put together.
How changes come together
- Each device saves your work first, then syncs it to your account. Your other devices pick it up as soon as they’re online.
- Changes made on two devices are merged rather than one copy replacing the other. If you added the bedroom on the phone in a basement and someone added the hall on the computer, the job ends up with both rooms.
- Deleting wins. A job or document deleted on one device stays deleted, even if another device was offline and still had it.
- If the same job is open on another device, you’ll see This job is also open for editing in another session. See The sync status.
See and sign out your devices
- Go to Settings › Devices. Each phone and computer signed in shows with when it was last used.
- To sign one out, for example a lost phone, tap Sign out next to it and confirm. It needs the password to sign in again.
The 3-device limit
You can be signed in on 3 devices. Signing in on a 4th signs out the one used longest ago.
If that happens to a device you still use, it shows Signed out on this device. Tap Sign in: anything you changed there is kept and sent once you’re signed in.
Good to know
- The limit is per person. On the Team plan, everyone has their own login and their own 3 devices.
- On a new device, let the first sync finish while online before you head somewhere with no signal.
- Keep offline is set per device, so turn it on for a job on each device that needs it.
