Cookie Policy

About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how WeavaWorx uses cookies and similar technologies on the website weavaworx.com, in the web app at app.weavaworx.com, and on the online estimate, invoice and payment pages. Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include your browser’s local storage, which keeps information on your device in a similar way, and scripts that read or store information on your device.

How we use cookies

  • We use one necessary cookie to remember your cookie choices.
  • We use preference cookies for your language and currency only after you agree to them.
  • The chat assistant loads, and stores its own data, only after you choose to use it.
  • Our own visit statistics don’t use cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies only if you allow analytics.
  • We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites.

Your choices

When you first visit, a banner asks what you allow. You can choose Accept all, Necessary only, or Choose to pick categories and then Save choices. Necessary storage is always on. Until you choose, preference cookies are not set, Google Analytics doesn’t load and the chat assistant doesn’t load.

To change your choice at any time, click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. It opens the banner with your current choices. If you switch preferences off, we delete the preference cookies. If you switch analytics off, Google Analytics stops and we delete its cookies. If you switch support chat off, we delete the chat’s data from your browser and the chat stops. Your choice applies to the browser you’re using, so on another device or browser you’ll need to choose again. You can also clear this site’s cookies and stored data in your browser settings, and the banner then shows again.

Cookies on the website

Necessary

NameWhat it doesHow long
ww_cookie_consentRemembers your cookie choices. A copy is also kept in your browser’s local storage.12 months (the local storage copy stays until you clear it)

The language of each page is part of its web address (for example, /de/ for German), so our multilingual plugin (Polylang) doesn’t need a cookie to remember it. We have turned its pll_language cookie off. If your browser still has one from an earlier visit, the website deletes it.

Preferences (only with your consent)

NameWhat it doesHow long
ww_localeRemembers the language you chose.12 months
ww_currencyRemembers the currency you chose for prices.12 months
ww_currency_sourceRemembers whether you picked the currency yourself or it was set from your language.12 months

Analytics (only with your consent)

Set by Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics in the banner. See Analytics below.

NameWhat it doesHow long
_gaA random ID that lets Google Analytics recognize your browser on later visits, so we can tell new visitors from returning ones.13 months
_ga_BF8LP01CNNKeeps the pages of one visit together and counts your visits.13 months

Support chat (only with your consent)

The chat assistant is provided by Botpress. It loads only if you allow support chat in the banner, or when you click Start a chat, which we take as your choice to load it and save in your cookie choices. The chat doesn’t set cookies on our website. It keeps these items in your browser’s storage so you can carry on a conversation:

NameWhat it doesHow long
bp-webchat-[chat ID]Local storage. Your chat user and conversation, so the chat can carry on where you left off.Until you clear it or switch support chat off
botpress-message-historyLocal storage. Up to 100 messages you’ve typed, so you can bring them back into the message box.Until you clear it or switch support chat off
bp-[chat ID]-session-storeSession storage. Whether the chat window is open and how many messages are unread.Until you close the browser tab

When the chat loads, it also downloads a font from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address. Botpress keeps chat conversations on its servers for 90 days; see our Privacy Policy.

Other storage on your device

When you choose a language or currency yourself, or close the language suggestion, the website saves that choice in your browser’s local storage so it can do what you asked. This is strictly necessary for the choice you made, so it doesn’t need your consent. Nothing is saved until you choose. These items stay on your device and aren’t sent to us.

NameWhat it doesHow long
locale, ww_localeThe language you choseUntil you clear it
currency, ww_currency, ww_currency_sourceThe currency you chose (or the one that goes with the language you chose), and whether you picked it yourselfUntil you clear it
ww_lang_suggest_dismissedRemembers that you closed the “view this site in your language” suggestionUntil you clear it
ww_ad_tags (session storage)If you came from an ad and allow analytics: that link’s tags (utm tags and Facebook’s or Google’s click ID), so they go with you when you sign upUntil you close the tab

The exception is ww_ad_tags: it is saved only if you allow analytics, and its tags are sent to the app when you sign up or sign in.

Analytics

Visit statistics on our own website (no cookies)

We count visits with Koko Analytics, which runs on our own website. It doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t send visitor data to anyone else. To count unique visits without cookies, it makes a temporary one-way code from technical request data, such as your IP address and browser details, which is deleted every day. It keeps page views, referring websites and visit counts, and we delete them after 24 months.

The website also counts clicks on some buttons and links, such as Start free trial, the pricing switches and searches in the Help Center, as daily totals in our own database. These totals hold no IP address, cookie or other identifier, and we delete them after 24 months. Search words are only counted when they don’t look like an email address or a phone or order number.

We use these statistics only to see how the website is used and to improve it. UK law allows this without asking first, as long as we tell you and you can object. To stop it in this browser, use the link below. We then save one item, ww_stats_optout, in your browser’s local storage so we remember your choice; your visits are no longer counted until you clear it or turn counting back on.

Turn off visit counting in this browserVisit counting is off in this browser. Turn it back on

Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you allow analytics in the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It shows us how visitors find the website (for example from a search engine or another site), which pages they read, the type of device, the country and city, whether a visitor is new or returning, and which buttons lead to a free trial. Google works out the country and city from your IP address and then discards the IP address; it isn’t stored in Google Analytics. We send no names, email addresses or form contents.

We have turned off Google signals, advertising features, personalized ads and data sharing with Google for its own purposes. Google acts as our processor and keeps the data for 14 months. Google may process it in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, its UK extension and standard contractual clauses. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics doesn’t load, even if you allowed analytics. You can withdraw your consent at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.

Security check on the contact form

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Its script loads only on the contact page. It reads technical information from your browser and may store data on your device to do the check. This is necessary to protect the form, so it doesn’t need your consent.

Fonts and connections to other services

The website’s fonts are hosted on our own website, so no font service is contacted. To make the chat and the security check start faster, pages tell your browser it may open a connection in advance to Botpress and Cloudflare. That connection shows those services your IP address, but no cookies are set and nothing else is sent until the chat or the security check actually loads.

The WeavaWorx app

The web app at app.weavaworx.com doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your sign-in, settings and your business’s data in your browser’s storage so you stay signed in and can work offline; this is necessary for the app to work, and it is removed when you log out. Sign-in, sign-up and password reset on the web use Cloudflare Turnstile. The Android app stores the same kind of data in the app’s own storage.

When you pay for a plan, or a customer pays a business, payment happens on Stripe’s own pages, where Stripe’s cookie policy applies.

Online estimate, invoice and payment pages

The pages a business sends its customers don’t use cookies. They count views as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party cookies

Some services are provided by third parties, including Botpress (chat), Cloudflare (security check), Stripe (payment pages) and Google (Google sign-in and Google Play). They may set their own cookies or similar technologies when you use them, under their own terms and privacy notices.
